Andovar is a multinational localization and outsourcing company based in Thailand, Singapore, and Argentina. Our clients include many online travel operators who require large amounts of content in a number of languages. We are currently seeking a number of freelance and part-time staff to work on a large-scale, two phase translation project. Phase one involves providing content and translations for inputting into a custom-built machine translation tool (MTT); phase two concerns the proof reading and post-editing of the MTT output.
This is an ongoing project that we expect to provide 40,000 words per month for an individual translator.
We have a number of part-time/freelance positions that require the basic translation of simple copy (such as hotel descriptions) for the following languages.
• German > Polish
• German > Russian
• English > French
• English > Italian
• English > Japanese
• English > Norwegian
• English > Spanish
This position does NOT require a professional level translator. Translators will also be required to perform simple proof reading and post-editing of translated copy, checking for grammatical errors, consistency and ease of comprehension.
Requirements:
• Native speaker of target language
• Good standard of target language and basic English communication skills
• Own a recent model computer with a broadband internet connection and spreadsheet software
Given that the volume of work for this project is large, the tasks are straightforward, and cost is a priority for our client, candidates offering the most competitive rates will be prioritized. Short-listed candidates will be asked to take a sample test.
