Top 16 Scammers In Malaysia Part – 5 of 5

13. Seaweed Venture Scams

1 such Company is located in Taman Maluri, Cheras. They will ask you to invest a few thousands ringgits for their venture of growing seaweeds in East Malaysia and you are guaranteed returns. To gain your confidence further, they will tell you your investment money is secured by “insurance” or “unit trusts” & “trustees”.. When you ask for further documents to prove, they will give all sorts of excuses or just ignore you because they know they cannot get you. These Seaweed scam is one of the hottest now, warn all your friends about it before they are victimised.

14. MXM (Previously MGM)

This is a master scam among the younger group, very successful 2 or 3 years ago but since there moved to their big 10-storey office at Phileo Damansara and changed name to MXM, their business dropped. They collect members RM3,000 to RM4,000 with credit card monthly easy payment and in return you get a hospital benefits insurance from Pacific Insurance worth only a few hundred RMs together with some you-don’t-need medical check-ups from their associate Company Pathlab. Also talk about fitness, lifestyles bullshit that is all worthless.

15. NuLife (HK)

This Company started by some HK people has been in Malaysia for more than 10 years but they have flopped in HK and Malaysia due to bad management and a product scam making use of a prosecuted American named Dr Jeffrey Bland, found guilty of false products claim. Since this case in the US leaked out and many Malaysians found out that the real boss in HK is a Steven Tang (he cheated many Malaysians in another scheme about 20 years ago) their business went down all the way. Now they claim Malaysian partners cheated them and start a new Company in Malaysia . Watch out, this new Company will come out with some investment scheme idea that will get many to lose their money.

16. Aro wan a Fish Breeding

Oora from Germany , Biofuel (Kompleks Maluri) etc - These are some newer scams. Aro wan a fish venture ask you to invest some money and give you fixed return. Biofuel will tell you their Indonesia connections (just like Sunshine Empire before using Tai wan ) & Oora from Germany(I never trust those cruel Germans) that market some bio-chips and a gadget that claims to give energy and therapeutic effects of accupunture, tai-chi, yoga, etc depending how you set the toy-like gadget, wear it on your body and you get the effect later.
They could not explain or provide any demonstration to prove their effectiveness. Only doctors and papers claim that I will never trust. The health effect is actually PLACEBO, which I will elaborate in a different thread.

Lastly but not least, thank you for reading to the end and I hope you can come back for more details and updates or help to contribute for me to update.

If you wish to send me any new information confidentially, you may email them to me at:

Cf 15. That Hongkee Steven TING has abandoned NuLife for quite some time. He is now into Dynasty Worldwide dealing with anti-prostate herbal remedies. Lately also got involved into Dynasty Seaweed Project with guaranteed RM 48,00 returns in the fifth year maturity. (Cf 13.)

Honestly, it is too early to predict whether it’s going to be a scam or not since ST together with a Sabahan Dato Dr. CHONG offer an incentive of RM12,000 instead of the normal RM16,000 per lot for the first 500 investors.

The purported cultivation patch is in Semporna but we have yet to see any aerial pictures of that as yet.

I am a more prudent investor in that I am more diligent in networking the DW herbal products. I invested only RM13,500 for the earlier venture.

Please advise

The seaweed project is UNLIKELY a scam. This is because the project is insured with Markel International (syndicate of Lloyd’s of London, a 300+ years old leading insurance). I believe the insurance company will not be so stupid as to just listen the story and not doing their homework first.

This blog is probably by someone who is really misinformed and jealous of the success that some of these companies are enjoying! I know for sure that some of the companies mentioned here like Lamp Berger and Nu Life, are genuine MLM companies which are still in existence. Nu Life have been selling nutritional supplements all these years and Lamp Berger, are mainly selling essential oil products. There’s nothing wrong with that. What’s the scam? I was a very active member and user of Nu Life and Lamp Berger products for many years and found their products good and beneficial to me. As for Mr. Steven Ting, yes, I know he was a Chairman of Nu Life and now in Dynasty Worldwide. What’s wrong going into partnership with a Malaysian and starting a new business? Just because he left Nu Life for a new direction, means he abandoned the company? As for Dynasty Worldwide’s Seaweed Project, yes, I heard that it’s in Semporna and that some members have qualified for their Semporna Incentive Trip. If they are not genuine, would they offer their members’ an Incentive trip there? Who ever you are, do check your facts and don’t make up untrue stories. If you genuinely want us to be careful with our money, just tell us to be cautious and don’t write nonsense.

Basically, if you make money it is not scam, if you lost money then you claim it is scam.

I do invest in a water company (Matrix Valley) and signed an agreement that will get guarenteen 15% return for 5 years, after 1 year they stop paying and ask to convert the balance of the money to shares which they have listed in the UK PLUS market Stock Exchange in late 2008 (they claim the venture capital company from Japan was invested millions). But in July 2009 still did not get any news from the company and check further the company delisted from the PLUS market without informing the investor. The COO now was move to take care of the business in Indonesia and a new COO taken over to resolve the isssue. But till today I am trying to talk to the owner/COO of the compnay but the person keep on hiding and do not response on the calls.

Do you think this is a scam? how can we report this? any one can help?

well, just for your info, the previous seaweed company did offer insurance protection from ING (part me, maybe ING is a stupid company?), so, its up to u guys to evaluate :) and they did offer their member free trip to sabah to have a look at their seaweed farm too (oh, they got their company’s sign board at the farm too!). in the end, the company stop payment after just a few months and they claim that they will get listed in US and ask all the members to bare with them…so, if u guys choose to take up this seaweed invesment again then all i hv to say is good luck to u!

time will tell whether its a scam or not. where did i get the above info? its from 2 of my friends who join the previous seaweed company. they try to share that ‘opportunity’ with me but i rejected the offer, lucky me.

Hi everybody,

It is so interesting to read all the discussion here. It amuse me and also it does irritate me as well.

Whether it is a scam or not….in my opinion, no one can be cheated or scamed unless you are willing to be scam by them.

Why a person can be scamed? One word only…”GREED”. Some of you are right, do some research first before you joint in a MLM company.

First of all, you must understand what is the meaning of MLM. It’s called Multi-Level Marketing. It is just “marketing” and you get paid through it’s payment structure, that’s it!!

Don’t make “Make Life Miserable” for yourself and tell everybody that MLM is not a good industry.

For those who keep on trying to tell us that MLM is not a good business or MLM is a scam blah blah…for heaven sake…can you tell us what business or company you have in mind that is better than MLM you can share to us that can also make us a good PASSIVE INCOME?

If you don’t have, by all means, shut your mouth and stop your finger on the key board and get back to your JOB (Just Over Broke).

Don’t be a nerd here and trying to teach us what is MLM all about!! How much do you earn to teach us here?

To those MLM’er, I wish you all the best in whichever MLM company you are involved and see you at the top.

I am good in handling objections in the MLM industry, should you need a good advice, you can get me here as well without obgligation.

Long live MLM

Good info above.

to most of the commentors..esp brandonsly

I do believe here is the case of the MLM people trying to protect the MLM industries. what theyre afraid of is that the public reads this and start avoiding MLM and the above listed companies.. and yep it worked for me, i hated MLM all my life.. stating that there is passive income that sucks money out from new members to pay the older ones.. been to one and hearing their sob stories about how mlm made their life so much better, saved them… guys getting recruited are their saviour, cause youre gonna fund their exclusive lives….hhhhahaha…stupidity really shows in those people who recruits ….

well for your information … im now having a JOB… Just over broke as per your definition, but again… does broke means that you stay in a oversized house, with a lil too many cars… like alphard and skyline…a phat account…and yet making my mark in this world.. most people know the product i design.. just dont know me…and thats a good thing…i dont need to insurance so secure my money… it comes in the form of a paycheck which i work for

for all who made other life more miserable for others by your MLM scheme… may you burn in hell .. yeah you brandon…youd be the biggest burner

The seaweed plan is not a scam..Many people have gotten their returns..(which is even more than they have invested)I would say..The ignorant people out there who either have too much time on their hands, or who do not have the money to invest would say these kind of things..Yes, nothing comes free..and this high returns investment definitely don’t come free. The company has a farm which they need people to invest in, and the returns they get are much more than one person(s) investment. So why not increase the returns to get people to invest and the farm can continue running. It’s all about marketing strategy. A good marketing strategy doesn’t mean it’s a scam. It just means other people aren’t smart enough to come up with one.

To all the Idiots and Fools above that support such schemes….

The so called Dato Seri Dr Chong of Dynasty Marine (Seaweed project) has run away with your money.

IDIOTS say “The seaweed plan is not a scam..” Tell that to the 2000 over people that wants to punch so called Dato Seri Dr Chong.

The reason you support such “investments” are either you are behind this and cheating everyone or you are an Idiot (or greedy!)

I support this blog to flush out the shit heads here that make people’s life miserable… and they run away with tens of millions of other people’s hard earned monies.
